From May 28 to June 5, 2018, GUIMC delegation consisting of the Director of the Centre A.G. Stanevsky and his deputy M.V. Mozgovoy visited Tianjin University of Technology in China.
Within this university operates the Institute of Special Education for the Deaf which trains more than 400 students with hearing impairment in 4 educational areas.
The delegation got acquainted with the educational process of the Institute and exchanged experience with the teachers. A.G. Stanevsky made a report on the system of higher education for people with disabilities in Russia and BMSTU experience in this field to the teachers of the university. At the International Conference of Higher Special Education of China which was held on these dates in Tianjin University M.V. Mozgovoy made a speech about BMSTU practice in assistance in students and graduates with hearing impairment employment. He also made a report to the students and teachers of TJU on the assistive technologies and all-purpose design.
All the performances aroused great interest and plenty of questions.
During the stay in China were also discussed the main directions of cooperation between TJU and BMSTU. This cooperation shall lie within the future Cooperation Agreement which content is to be elaborated.
